Assistant Secretary: Mr. Alan Koo

Alan is a final-year student in Chinese Medicine and Biomedical Science double-degree programme at Hong Kong Baptist University.

He is active in extra-curricular activities. He was nominated by the Government Secretariat, Home Affairs Bureau and the Hong Kong Commission on Youth as a youth leader visiting Japan in the International Youth Exchange Programme (2006). He has been appointed as a hall tutor in YP Cai Hall at his university since 2006.

He loves singing. Recently, he won Champion (Group) and First runner-up (Solo) in the joint-hall singing contest (2007) at his university.

Curriculum Director/ HK Program Director: Mr. Clement Chung

Clement is CEO at Wiseman Education. Prior to his commitment in education, Clement was COO at HT Mobile Technology and CIO at PCC Skyhorse.

Clement received academic and athletic scholarships after high school to study applied and pure mathematics but decided to pursue a military career instead. He graduated top five from the PPCLI battle school in Canada as a combat engineer. After his stint in the military, Clement was sponsored by Reuters to complete his Masters in Finance.

He is an alumni of Harvard Graduate Business School (1999) and Tsinghua University in Beijing (2001).

Secretary: Mr. Earl Deng

Earl has recently graduated from Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University (BA 2005) and completed his Post-graduate Certificate in Law at the University of Hong Kong (PG 2006). He is about to embark on his legal career.

He has also completed his National Service for Singapore. He graduated from Basic Training as the best recruit of his company (2000), and commissioned as an Infantry Officer from Officer Cadet School (2001).

He enjoys strumming a guitar and singing along with it but has been kindly informed to stop trying. He also enjoys running and a game of badminton and tennis or two.

Treasurer: Mr. John Tse

John is an experienced information technologist, chief information officer, health informatics and finance professional. As a CIO in the public sector, he led his teams in the implementation of IT strategies of Government departments and authorities.

He is now an IT and financial consultant and holds various directorships including China Overseas Friendship Association, Asia InfoInvest Co. Ltd. He is a Harvard Alumnus (PMD 1995), alumnus of HKU, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of London, Peking University and Tsing Wah University, and Fellow of Royal Statistical Society.

He is also an avid musician and you can hear him sing in the City University Staff Choir.

Assistant Treasurer: Mr. Max Lau
Media Director: Mr. Perry So

Perry is an exciting young conductor who has worked with numerous orchestras in the United States, Italy and China. He is currently resident conductor of the Hong Kong Children's Symphony Orchestra, and a guest conductor of the Pan-Asia Symphony Orchestra.

Perry is an alumnus of Calhoun College, Yale University (BA 2004, Comparative Literature) and of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University (MM 2006, Orchestral Conducting). He has also studied at Peking University. He speaks five languages and is now learning Italian and Ancient Greek.

Academic Advisor: Dr. Qin Jiang

Qin is currently the China project and international accounts manager at WIDE World, a professional development program for educators at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Qin holds a B.A. degree in English language and literature from Fudan University; an Ed.M. degree in International Education Policy from Harvard University and a Ph.D. degree in Applied Linguistics from City University of Hong Kong. Outside work, she enjoys reading, hiking and making friends.

Chairman of 2007 Committee: Mr. Robert H Y Chan

Robert is a practising commercial lawyer whose practice involves mainland China. He also holds directorship on various commercial and education entities. He is a Fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Directors.

When not working, he devotes much of his time to charitable work such as CCCEF. He is a devout Christian, and enjoys spending what little time he has listening to music, swimming, traveling with his family.

Mr Chan graduated from Hong Kong University (BA 76) and Cambridge University ( LL.M 84 ).
